Secondary Schools in the Partnership

During your training, you will be placed in two of the following schools to ensure that you have a wide range of experience within your training year. These schools include:

Bullers Wood School for Girls – Chislehurst

Bullers Wood School for Boys - Chislehurst

Charles Darwin School – Biggin Hill 

Darrick Wood – Orpington

Langley Park School for Boys - Bromley

Langley Park School for Girls - Bromley

Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys – Greenwich 

Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls - Greenwich

The Greenwich schools have their own School Direct group of trainees that join our central training programme each week in Hayes.

Entry Requirements

Please check that you meet the following requirements for teacher training entry. These include:

2.2 Degree Classification or Above
GCSE English and Maths Grade 4 or above plus Science for Primary programmes

Your Training Year

We offer comprehensive teacher training to ensure that you are on the right track. Following completion of your training year, you will be recommended for QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) to the DfE (Department of Education). During the preparation year, trainees:

Will undertake two school placements during the training year
Will be assigned a subject specialist in-school mentor
Attend a weekly central training programme
Have access to Bromley Schools’ Collegiate Gateway to upload evidence to their personal electronic portfolio
